Our Religious Education (RE) classes, worship, and extracurricular events are developed by our Director of Lifelong Learning (DLL), in consultation with the RE Council and RE Volunteer Teaching Staff.
We use curricula published by the Unitarian Universalist Association's Tapestry of Faith and religious educators throughout the denomination. Common themes are Unitarian Universalism, world religions, and our interpersonal values and communication skills. Our classes, worship, and extracurricular events are designed to support parents in their role as the primary religious educators of their children.
All of our RE volunteer teachers complete an extensive interview process that includes a background check. They also receive training in positive classroom management and effective curriculum instruction throughout the year.
