Because of snow, we didn’t get to celebrate the nonviolent movement for Civil Rights in America on January 14th, so will do it this morning. The children will attend Religious Education classes after the Story for All Ages.
What do we mean when we say, as we have been this month, that “by our own authority, we change the world?” How do we find that authority? How do we find the center from which we can speak our truths?
Our service titled The Authority of Rosa Parks has been rescheduled to January 28th. Because of severe weather, we canceled our in-person worship and met online to enjoy worship presented by the former UUA president, Rev. Susan Frederick Gray.
No matter what we have resolved to do this year, we will benefit from being our authentic selves in community with others. This patchwork service will focus on connections with our selves, our church and the world around us.
