Because of snow, we didn’t get to celebrate the nonviolent movement for Civil Rights in America on January 14th, so will do it this morning. The children will attend Religious Education classes after the Story for All Ages.
We will hold a single candlelight service on Christmas eve, with music, stories, and candles. This service cannot be broadcast over Zoom because of the low lighting. Inner peace is one of the goals of spiritual practice. Sages and prophets have used silence to achieve that internal peace. By silencing the surface chatter, we can begin to hear a deeper voice. Silence is our theme this month, and we begin by exploring the spiritual practice of listening.
